In this lecture, Dr. Elvebakk will explain how the body works, how the body works with food and vice versa, and why our blood sugar is critical to our health. Ranveig Elvebakk is a Norwegian born physician with a special interest in the root causes of illnesses and how to stay healthy. She has written two books on the topics of nutrition and why we get sick Dr. Elvebakk received her medical degree from the University of Oslo, and has done post graduate training in Norway and in the US, including an internship in internal medicine at US Davis, California. She has lectured and written on weight and nutrition as a speaker and columnist, and has appeared on several Bay Area television stations as an expert commentator. She was in private practice with offices in San Francisco and Oakland for 15 years. In this lecture she will dispel myths and fads around nutrition and give us an update on what is “hot off the press”.
