In January 2026, only seven gasoline cars were sold in Norway compared with more than 2,000 electric vehicles. Aside from the US, EVs are gaining market share across countries worldwide. Join us for a talk exploring why EVs matter so deeply to the future of energy.

Centered on the future of mobility, grid transformation, and clean energy, this evening brings together a timely talk and an exceptional dinner.

About the Speaker

Mogens Lauritzen

Mogens Lauritzen founded Lauritzen Inc more than 25 years ago to focus on solar energy. Today, Lauritzen Inc has delivered more than 6,000 control systems for solar trackers globally. Prior to that, he was a manager and consultant at Silicon Valley companies designing microprocessors. Mogens holds a BS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and is the holder of three US patents.

Since this year's celebration falls on a Sunday, the event is open to children. In keeping with Norwegian tradition, kids will be served hot dogs and ice cream. In Norway, the 17th of May is fondly known as Barnas Dag — the Children's Day — and we look forward to honoring this beloved tradition.
